I suspect the reason is that a porcupine is usually active at night, while\u00a0we are not.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The porcupine was ascending a gravel bank.<br \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10885\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/porcupine140617asDT.jpg\" alt=\"\" onclick=\"return false\" onmousedown=\"return false\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Porcupines are vegetarians that favour tree\u00a0leaves, buds, and bark.
