I had not yet seen this wild orchid and so followed his directions carefully. It had vanished and repeated searches turned up nothing.<\/p>\n<p>Nothing, that is, until today when at a different location in the park, I was showing my nine-year-old grandson a <a title=\"Lady\u2019s Slipper\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/?p=10777\">mountain lady&#8217;s slipper<\/a> and he spotted another\u00a0&#8220;pretty flower.&#8221; It was the first of four spotted-coralroot plants\u00a0he found.<\/p>\n<p>Here are two views of\u00a0the seventh local wild orchid I have managed to photograph.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10913\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/spottedcoralroot140622as.jpg\" alt=\"\" onclick=\"return false\" onmousedown=\"return false\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10912\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/spottedcoralroot140622cs2.jpg\" alt=\"\" onclick=\"return false\" onmousedown=\"return false\" width=\"720\" height=\"720\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Earlier this month, an acquaintance told me where he had found a spotted coralroot in Kokanee Creek Provincial Park.
