{"id":11608,"date":"2014-09-13T17:34:08","date_gmt":"2014-09-14T00:34:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/?p=11608"},"modified":"2014-09-13T18:06:49","modified_gmt":"2014-09-14T01:06:49","slug":"osprey-adult","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/?p=11608","title":{"rendered":"Osprey adult"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>And yet another posting about an Osprey and a fish?<\/p>\n<p>Yes, for today I managed a picture of an adult Osprey that complemented the juvenile posted <a title=\"Riveting orange\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/?p=11602\">two days ago<\/a>. That one showed a juvenile with orange eyes and dipped-in-cream wing feathers.<\/p>\n<p>This shows an adult with yellow eyes and plain wing feathers.<\/p>\n<p>It is mid September and the adults will leave for Central America or Venezuela any day now. The juveniles will follow within a couple of weeks. Ospreys will soon be gone from around the Lake for the year.<\/p>\n<p>This is an adult Osprey (yellow eyes and plain wing feathers) hoarding a partially consumed Kokanee Salmon.<br \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11609\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/ospreyfish14091bs2.jpg\" alt=\"\" onclick=\"return false\" onmousedown=\"return false\" width=\"720\" height=\"720\" \/><\/p>\n<p>For no better reason other than I like the shot, here is the same adult flying off with its partialy consumed fish.<br \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11610\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/ospreyfish140913s2.jpg\" alt=\"\" onclick=\"return false\" onmousedown=\"return false\" width=\"720\" height=\"720\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; And yet another posting about an Osprey and a fish?
