Apparently the recent cold was enough to drive it off the mountainsides for one visited my yard on Wednesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This fist-sized\u00a0owl was perched in the same alder tree that <a title=\"Bohemian invasion\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/?p=12041\">waxwings<\/a> had used the previous day as a staging post.
