I have probably seen this one a dozen times in the last month, but always partially\u00a0submerged and during the twilight of dawn. Now, it was grazing on a dilapidated dock in the afternoon sun.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>May is the month to watch for young males doing a walkabout in search of a nesting site of their own.<br \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13620\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/muskrat150511bs.jpg\" alt=\"\" onclick=\"return false\" onmousedown=\"return false\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Each wants to find a place where there is a good supply of vegetation to eat.
