First seen was the Wild Turkey; next was the Turkey Vulture. The vulture was named for the resemblance of its featherless\u00a0head and dark plumage to those of the turkey.<\/p>\n<p>A flock of Wild Turkeys was foraging in\u00a0someone&#8217;s yard.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15014\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/turkey150917s.jpg\" alt=\"\" onclick=\"return false\" onmousedown=\"return false\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Soon afterwards, three Turkey Vultures were seen flying over open fields as they looked for carrion.
