In fairness, this is actually the second nest, the first having grown so big, it brought down the tree. While the first nest was easily visible from the Lake, its\u00a0replacement is obscure. One must float at just the right spot for\u00a0a clear view.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>An easily visible perched eagle hints that a hidden nest might be nearby. Both adults incubate the eggs, but the female spends most of the time doing so. So, this is likely\u00a0the male.\u00a0<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-17425\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/eagle160604as.jpg\" alt=\"\" onclick=\"return false\" onmousedown=\"return false\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Even after spotting the perched eagle, the nest was still not easy to find.
