However, they were intent upon preening, an activity with many functions. <\/p>\n<p>One loon waggles its foot, presumably merely to stretch, while the other preens.<br \/>\n <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-17930\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/loon160716as.jpg\" alt=\"\" onclick=\"return false\" onmousedown=\"return false\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Then the bird on the right flexes its wings.
