Speedboats must now travel with caution. But, the water birds seem to like it. For them, the flood delivers food and perches.<\/p>\n<p>A female merganser hitches a ride on a log.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1877\" onmousedown=\"return false\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/merganser110609s.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Normally, when I see a loon on the Lake, it is travelling through the water.
