He used a corrupted version of nature as a morality play about redemption. But, we don\u2019t need to reduce nature to a metaphor, we can look out onto the Lake in the spring and delight in real water babies. A few are below.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes momma merganser has come by with over a dozen chicks.
