I am a fan of rainbows. It is a rare bow that I will not record. Last evening\u2019s bow was grand: well defined primary and secondary bows along with Alexander\u2019s dark band (the dark region between the bows). Plus, this was all nicely reflected in the gently ruffled waters of the Lake. (Alas, supernumerary bows were ill defined as were any anti-crepuscular rays).<\/p>\n

This panorama has angular dimensions of about 270 by 135 degrees. Compare this with the panorama used as a header for this blog. They were taken from nearly the same spot. The present picture shows a higher solar elevation, a better reflection in the water, and a higher lake level (water is onto the grass).
