Mind you, it is not easy to coordinate a visit with the bears: They follow their own clocks.<\/p>\n<p>This has been a rather good year to watch spawning kokanee.<br \/>\n <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-21808\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/kokanee170902as.jpg\" alt=\"\" onclick=\"return false\" onmousedown=\"return false\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There are two families of black bears working the creek.
