Rather than illustrating those activities, I emphasize their curiosity, in particular, their curiosity about being watched by a distant human on the shore.<\/p>\n<p>Three otters climbed onto a dock and looked around.<br \/>\n <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-22422\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/otter171202as2.jpg\" alt=\"\" onclick=\"return false\" onmousedown=\"return false\" width=\"720\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Two of them sat up to get a better look at me.<br \/>\n <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-22424\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/otter171202bs2.jpg\" alt=\"\" onclick=\"return false\" onmousedown=\"return false\" width=\"720\" height=\"720\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The third dived into the water and swam towards me for an even closer view.<br \/>\n <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-22421\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/otter171202ds2.jpg\" alt=\"\" onclick=\"return false\" onmousedown=\"return false\" width=\"720\" height=\"720\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Three River Otters visited early in this morning&#8217;s cerulean twilight.
