About four dozen have been hanging around there for a while.<\/p>\n<p>The duck is named for the striking red head of the male; the female (left) has better camouflage. <br \/>\n <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-22827\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/redhead180222bs.jpg\" alt=\"\" onclick=\"return false\" onmousedown=\"return false\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>They are often seen with bills tucked into their feathers.
