Here are a few to be seen in June.<\/p>\n<p>The Cedar Waxwing is primarily a bird of the warm season. It breeds around the Lake.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-23645\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/cedarwaxwing180604s.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Warbling Vireo is only found around here from May to September. <br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-23646\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/warblingvireo180602s.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>While the male Common Merganser is with us year round, he only appears in his breeding plumage for another month and a half. <br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-23647\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/merganser180531s.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The male Blue-winged Teal (right) will lose his breeding plumage in another few weeks. <br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-23648\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/bluewingedteal180525s.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Cliff Swallow is only seen locally during the period of May to August. <br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-23649\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/cliffswallow180527bs.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Robin can be seen at any time of the year, but its hunting of worms is a springtime event.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-23651\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/robin180531s.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Birds come and go.
