They are recognizable, even from a distance, by the way they hold their wings in a shallow V.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-26341\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/turkeyvulture190421bs.jpg\" alt=\"\" onclick=\"return false\" onmousedown=\"return false\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>One then descended for a closer look, but soon left.
