Now, with the <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/?p=18006\">odd exception<\/a>, I have only see them much higher in the mountains. Indeed, today&#8217;s chipmunk was foraging and feasting at about 1500 metres elevation.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A chipmunk forages on an unrecognized plant.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-27063\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/chipmunk190721as2.jpg\" alt=\"\" onclick=\"return false\" onmousedown=\"return false\" width=\"720\" height=\"720\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The thing about small creatures is that they are not as strongly influenced by gravity as are large creatures.
