Here is another migrant: a Semipalmated Sandpiper.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-27306\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/semipalmatedsandpiper190818s.jpg\" alt=\"\" onclick=\"return false\" onmousedown=\"return false\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In May I posted Western Toads in <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/?p=26473\">amplexus<\/a>, in June copious <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/?p=26684\">tadpoles<\/a>. Now there are toadlets.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-27304\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/westerntoad190816s.jpg\" alt=\"\" onclick=\"return false\" onmousedown=\"return false\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This is an oddity: a juvenile Brewer&#8217;s Blackbird during its moult.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-27303\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/brewersblackbird190826s.jpg\" alt=\"\" onclick=\"return false\" onmousedown=\"return false\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Usually Turkey Vultures are seen soaring on high.
