The last time was <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/?p=32975\">two years ago<\/a>. But, this was the first time that I have seen it actively chasing a raven.<\/p>\n<p>There is a little irony in this observation f0r many ravens were hunting and eating fish along Kokanee Creek and its spawning channel. Suddenly the ravens were themselves being hunted. The harrier wasn&#8217;t interested in the fish, it wanted to catch and eat a raven.<\/p>\n<p>A Northern Harrier eyes some ravens below.\u00a0<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-34919\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/northernharrier250913as.jpg\" alt=\"\" onclick=\"return false\" onmousedown=\"return false\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The harrier gave chase.
