We were rewarded by seeing the male bring in a large fish, and the appearance of a chick.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The male Osprey delivers the first fish of the day to his partner and unseen chick.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-35666\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/osprey_fish260705as.jpg\" alt=\"\" onclick=\"return false\" onmousedown=\"return false\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The female ravenously feeds herself and the chick while the male keeps watch. As far as we can tell, there is only one chick in this family.
