But, it appeared again last evening (Aug. 14<sup>th<\/sup>). These views are unusual to see.<\/p>\n<p>The beaver swam by towing a long branch of leaves.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-35761\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/beaver260814as2.jpg\" alt=\"\" onclick=\"return false\" onmousedown=\"return false\" width=\"720\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It went to a delapidated dock, presumably as a place to temporarily live.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-35762\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/beaver260814bs.jpg\" alt=\"\" onclick=\"return false\" onmousedown=\"return false\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It began to eat the leaves near the shore. Beavers are herbivores, but it seems to just eat the leaves.
