Note that the bear has gripped the fish from the underside between the head and fins.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-35833\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/bear_fish260904as-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" onclick=\"return false\" onmousedown=\"return false\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Here is a slightly earlier shot of the bear just hauling the Kokanee from the creek. It is gripping it 0n the topside by the head.
