The local Kokanee-salmon season is winding down now, but it is not yet entirely over. There are still a few fish here spawning and a few black bears feasting on them.<\/p>\n

Of course. getting a picture of a bear capturing a Kokanee is fraught with problems. Access is limited, and, even when seen close by, a bear could be facing the wrong way.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Now and then, it works out.<\/p>\n

A black bear pulls a Kokanee salmon from the stream.
