They were taken only about 30 km apart, although a few years separate them.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday&#8217;s animal was a domesticated angora goat of the genus <em><span class=\"binomial\">Capra, <\/span><\/em><span class=\"binomial\">which is (appropriately) the genus of goats.<\/span><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-35895\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/angoragoat261005s2.jpg\" alt=\"\" onclick=\"return false\" onmousedown=\"return false\" width=\"720\" height=\"546\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Thirty kilometres from there, I had also photographed what we have called a mountain goat. But, it is in actually in the genus, <em>Oreamnos<\/em>, which means that it is closer to the antelopes.
