That shot was so satisfying that I was unwilling to detract from it with supporting images or text. So, a single unadorned image was <a title=\"Eagle at sunrise\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/?p=6488\">posted<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Yet, prior to that picture, the behavior of the eagle in the shifting predawn light was interesting, so with the remove of a few days, here are the earlier pictures.<\/p>\n<p>In the dim twilight, a Bald Eagle finished its breakfast atop an ancient piling.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6509\" onclick=\"return false\" onmousedown=\"return false\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/eagleeating121010s.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Sated, the eagle flew down to the water and drank.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6511\" onclick=\"return false\" onmousedown=\"return false\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/eagledrink121010s.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It then appeared to be leaving for good.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6510\" onclick=\"return false\" onmousedown=\"return false\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/eagleflying121010s.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>But, promptly stopped on an\u00a0adjacent\u00a0piling to await sunrise&#8212;and its <a title=\"Eagle at sunrise\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/?p=6488\">portrait<\/a>.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6514\" onclick=\"return false\" onmousedown=\"return false\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/eaglepiling121010s.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Last week I took a picture of an eagle at sunrise.
