{"id":9400,"date":"2013-12-25T11:33:12","date_gmt":"2013-12-25T19:33:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/?p=9400"},"modified":"2013-12-26T17:00:49","modified_gmt":"2013-12-27T01:00:49","slug":"birds-and-berries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.kootenay-lake.ca\/?p=9400","title":{"rendered":"Birds and berries"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This is a season of visitors, so it was grand that Bohemian Waxwings arrived from afar to enjoy our local fare.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the elderberries have been eaten, but there is still a good supply of rowan berries, aka, mountain ash, for the taking, and yesterday waxwings took advantage of them.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>One waxwing holds a berry while another watches.
