Nelson’s Gyro Park

Yesterday, I visited Gyro Park in Nelson and took a couple of pictures. I suspect that only people who are familiar with the park will be able to make sense of them — well, maybe even these people will struggle with them.

This is a shot of the foot bridge to the overlook.

And a view of the overlook and Nelson.

Is that a camera function similar to FISHEYE? What is it called? I’m upgrading my camera, and I’d like to know what to look for! Dagmar

Dagmar, the short answer is yes and no. I did not use a fisheye lens, although that is a possible route that I have used in the past. But, such pictures depend upon a camera, stitching software, and mapping software capable of doing projective-geometry transformations. I will write you at your personal e-mail address.
