Tranquil spring

 

I really like the tranquility evinced by this picture of a Mountain Bluebird. But I didn’t initially bother to share it in a posting.

Didn’t bother, that is, until I abruptly needed it as an antidote to what I witnessed today at noon (next posting). So, enjoy the serenity while you can.

    We get too few glimpses of nature red in tooth and claw. Darkness at noon. I welcome and look forward to the demi-monde. A few years ago, in Auckland at the national zoo, some grade one’s in school uniform were making pictorial notes on the behavior of tigers in their terrarium. Then some feral rabbits hopped into the enclosure.
