Three otters (mother and two pups?) turned up on a nearby dock and spent about a half-hour preening, scratching, pooping, and resting. Only rarely could one see all three faces at once.
They then went on their way up the lake.
A small family of three otters visited.

Sounds like what any beleaguered mom with 2 bored teenagers would do with them on a hot summer day… (maybe except the pooping part)
